Answer by cookpat.geoYes, and it is sad. The Indy Speedway might be at fault, but the FIA has had F1 at so many different venues over the last several decades that it is crazy. Who knows why, and it doesn't matter now. Who knows what the schedule will look like in 2009.
Anyway, no F1 U.S. Grand Prix in 2008. Many want it to go to
